Marketing is what sets a great business apart from it’s competitors and with so many entrepreneurs’ in today’s world, effective marketing is key for any business to succeed and grow. Connecting with our customers and understanding what they want and not what the business wants, can be challenging but necessary for effective marketing, especially with today's landscape.
So why does your marketing need to be sharp?
WE ARE ALL IN CONTENT SHOCK
Currently we are at our peak spending in some cases 12 hours per day consuming content. This means that great storytelling is critical for your customer to actually absorb your content.

2. Australian Adverting has very low brand recall
With low brand recall from Australian adverting, having content generated with specific and unique ‘call to actions’ is critical. This may seems logical, but not all brands use adverting as an opportunity to do or say something unique, and add value to the consumer but often focus on a sales push.
Approximately 89% of Australian advertising is shit… as it has 0% brand recall.
You need to have one compelling thing in your advertisement and not 100 messages. Dare to be different and stand out from the clutter.
How to set your marketing apart:
Emotional advertising
Invest in brand ambassadors that can help share your brand story. Emotion sells. Focus on the psychology of humans.
The law of simplicity
Keep things simple. As mentioned if we know that bombarding our customers leads to low brand recall. Give them simplicity with emotion and you will connect faster.
Know your customer & provide them with value
Businesses need to think how they can provide value to their customers, not just bombard their sales messages out like spam to their audience. To gain trust and connection, think how you can solve a problem, share information or guidance to your customer to strengthen the relationship.
There is no secret to great marketing, but I hope the above can support a strategy to build your brand in our current digital landscape.
