Ways to build self confidence

1. You are POWER

When you know your strengths, learn to focus on them. It is too easy to get stuck up on how and when we let ourselves and others down. When we focus on good, it grows, being the best version of yourself is confidence building at its best.

2. Surround yourself with other REAL and confident people.

They say who you hang around influences you more than anything. Find people who you can learn off, who support you and you will flourish into your best self a lot faster. I highlight 'REAL' above because in this day of social media, we can get easily caught up in appearances and not who people actually are.

3. Know what matters to you and who you are.

The more we know what matters the more we can feel secure within ourselves and builds our inner confidence. We are all working progresses and constantly changing. The clearer you can be on who you are or who you are trying to be, the more you can learn and focus on that.

4. Focus on the positive side.

"Affirmations are a powerful tool to deliberately install desired beliefs about yourself." Nikki Carnevale

5. 3/3 rule. Focus on 3 things everyday that you are grateful for and 3 goals.

6. Don’t let the bad get you down (for too long)!

We all have those negative voices in our head. ALL OF US. But if you accept that and find a way to over power it with your mind it wont HOLD you down.

'You have been criticising yourself for years, and it hasn’t worked. Try approving of yourself and see what happens.' Louise L. Hay

7. Do what’s good for the soul.

Getting in tune with your inner self is key to feeling confident. Take time out of your day and reflect on what actually made you feel good about it. What are the things you can do more of that make you feel good.

8. Write a list of what makes you proud.

Big or small.. what have you accomplished? Is there a project, a sporting game, a meal or ANYTHING you did that you feel good about. LIST IT and read this when you need the boost or for reflection of all the things you are grateful for.

9. Visualise where you want to be.

'What the mind can conceive it can achieve'. Napoleon Hill

This is a powerful tool to build confidence. If you can see clearly where you want to be, feel it, really believe it, then you can get there. If we look at life like 'hey this can actually happen' then we subconsciously support ourselves to get there. When it feels overwhelming, start by thinking, what is one small thing I can do today to get me closer ? It all starts somewhere.
